Acting books, tutors, workshops, undergrad programs, conservatories all exist under the banner of teaching “acting”. Prospective actors can spend years learning scene study, the International Phonetic Alphabet, viewpoints, Suzuki, Meisner, Hagen, histories of Kabuki and French Renaissance theater, etc, etc, etc. They can learn all this and still not know how to breathe on stage.
