Just got off the phone with Dean Syverson in Australia! He and his wife forgot to reserve their CRT seats before they left the country. Thank you Dean for making sharing your love of CRT from the other side of the world. G’day mate!

Great job guys! I just watched the Steve Quiller video and can’t wait to see the mural in the new space. As I watched the video (toward the end) there was a discussion of “rehearsal” and how it is so relevant to what Steve does and what the actors at the Theatre do to finalize a play. I thought, wouldn’t it be fantastic if along with the mural you hung Steve’s story of “rehearsal” along with some of the examples of different studies that led up to the finished mural. I think people would really enjoy seeing the process of an artist and would also enjoy the connection between Steve’s process and that of a theatre actor. Just a thought . . .

Thank you David. We were really struck by Steve’s comments on rehearsal as well. We think it speaks to the synergy between the CRT as an arts organization and Steve’s work as an artist. We would love to show case that history and his process along with the mural. Thank you for such a good idea!

I agree wholeheartedly with David Basler’s comments about the Quiller video. I forwarded a link to it for a friend of mine, an art instructor at the local juco. It’s a great illustration (no pun intended) of the preparation, the though processes that go into sketch to mural. Quiller is so articulate and his work in its various visual stages speaks volumes. Please share it at the Grand Opening if at all possible!
